Ricky’s new song

Ricky informed me this evening that he had learned a new song in school. I asked what it was called. He replied, “My Elephant has a Big Winkle”.

Utterly scandalised, and horrified that someone in his nursery school could have taught him a rude song, I was in the process of saying “WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!” when Ian came back into the room, pissing himself laughing, and telling me to calm down, that what Ricky was in fact saying was “My Elephant has a Big WRINKLE”.

Um, listen more carefully in future before hitting detonate, Suze…. 😛

Is my mind REALLY so firmly in the gutter???

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m laughing myself silly over here…. That is the funniest ting I’ve heard in a while!!!!!! Just for that, I think Ricky needs a stuffed toy pachyderm for Christmas!!!!!

It will quite possibly be on the shopping list… 😛

LOL – that sounds so much like something that my Cheeky youngest would sing; the difference being that he would be fully aware of what he was doing, and sing the amended version with great pleasure and gusto!

    Give us a year or two… 😀

    Hahahaha!!! That’s toooooo cute!!!

At least you guys aren’t teaching him silly songs! MY Daddy told me the words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star were Starkle Starkle Little Stink!!

The things parents will do for their own amusement… 😀

Quite a few years ago sitting in the back seat of the car with the window open, my Dad called back from the front seat that I better be careful not to catch a draught. I thought a ‘draught’ was a flying seahorse and was keeping my eyes peeled for them through the whole journey. Sadly I didn’t see a single one…. 😦

That’s hilarious!! Up there with Brian crying when he was about 8 when we visited local historic monument The Giant’s Ring, and being disappointed that he didn’t see any giants… 😉

Ricky asked me last weekend to have a look at his ‘twuck’. I managed to translate that to (toy) ‘truck’ which fortunately for me he had in his hand !!

His diction still isn’t perfect, but hey, he’s only three! He’s improving all the time. No doubt in another few months, we won’t keep making these mistakes, lol!

Don’t make me laugh like that right now, I end up in a coughing fit!

    A veritable fit of TB… 😀
