When exhaustion sets in…

My son Ricky LOVES his food. He was tired this evening when we got home, but I can honestly and truly say that I have never, ever seen sleep come between my son and his grub before! πŸ˜€

Any yes, the dinner he was eating is far from healthy, I must be a bad mummy. Surely the pure apple juice counts for something though, and he did have fresh fruit and yoghurt for supper…frantically trying to justify myself… πŸ˜€

That ‘organic’ apple juice looks like it could be a prop!!!!

It’s actually just a small carton- but yeah, M&S ought to give me money for product placement! πŸ˜€

Looks like something mine eats. Don’t feel bad.

He normally gets something more healthy, but I was knackered last night!

so explain the difference between Supper and Dinner. when did he eat the fruit and yogurt? I’m confused. LOL

    love the photo though. DARLING!

OK- dinner is the main evening meal…so he gets that at about 6pm. We give them supper before they go to bed- fruit and yoghurt, a round of toast or a small bowl of cereal. Both of ours are terrible sleepers as you know, and we have found that giving them a little something to eat before bed really makes a difference. πŸ™‚

That is the cutest picture ever! Awww!!! Much, much better than those photos parents post of their children WEARING their food all over their faces and hands. Ick! Haha! πŸ™‚

I have plenty of those too, ha ha!

Especially falling asleep with fries on his plate…it would never happen in our house.

Do you call them fries, chips or what?

It is totally unprecedented in our house too! We call them chips. πŸ™‚

Aww love him! I’ve got a photo of Dan when he was about 8 months old and he’s fallen asleep in his highchair whilst eating toast.

Don’t worry we had fish and chips the other night for tea and all the kids ate were the chips

Cute! I was surprised that he fell asleep, given that he’s nearly four!

Poor wee thing MUST have been tired! Bug has never fallen asleep with food before. Oh, and don’t feel bad, Bug had the same exact thing for dinner last night.

It’s certainly never happened before in our house!! πŸ˜€

There’s protein. There’s starch. And he got in the fruit and dairy before bed. Sounds like a perfectly good evening meal to me!

    What a cutie, though… *sigh*

When you put it like that, chicken nuggets and chips sounds positively healthy! πŸ˜€

That’s an average dinner for my son, too.

Oh, no, wait – no ketchup.

Yeah…I poked him awake and that resulted in a complete hissy fit, which was only averted by the copious application of ketchup to his chips… πŸ˜‰

LOL That’s such a cool pic! He looks knackered, but like he’s also had a lot of fun that day. Very cute πŸ˜€

And no one noticed the Photoshopped apple juice either πŸ˜‰
